Mommy's Hand's
As sickness surrounds me
And the pain is too strong
Who do I want with me?
The peaceful comfort of my mom
I know that God watches over me
All day and all night
And that through my prayers
He helps with my frights
But sometimes I need to feel
The touch of his hand
So he calls on my mommy
With her arms wide span
I can tell when she's near
Without even a glance
With just the smell of her fragrance
My life is instantly enhanced
The smile on her face
When she looks my way
Comforts and soothes me
On my good and bad days
The longing I feel
When she's not around
While I'm sick and in need
Makes the world feel upside-down
And when I was a child
Who stayed by my side?
My mommy of course
And did it with great pride
When my temperature was rising
And my little body was frail
Mom was always there
And she always prevailed
As a teen I couldn't wait
To leave my home
But now that I'm older
My thinking was so wrong
I'm now a grown woman
And my sickness is worse
I still want my mommy
to help with the hurts
So the next time that you're sick
And need a loving hand
Just pray to your Savior
He will send you Mommy's Hands
